I sat on a playground today, surrounded by 4 to 7 year olds, and I realized that I am exactly where I am supposed to be. I start my masters program tomorrow, I have a job that I am obsessed with and love with my whole heart, and I am overflowing with love. Everything is pointing in the right direction.

So much of the past 26 years of my life have been spent trying to figure out where I am going or what I am going to do next, and now that it is all better planned out and actually starting, I feel free. I get to study something that will help people to feel better. I get to work with little kids to help them grow into better people. I work with amazing people. I am surrounded by really beautiful souls on a daily basis.

Every time I say out loud how happy I am, I feel like a big old cheeseball. Of course, not everything is perfect, but everything feels manageable.

So to begin the list of things that have been making me ridiculously happy these past few weeks, I felt I should start with what I am listening to:

1. Podcasts: Cult Liter, Only Friends, and Sorry We’re Stoned
2. Music: Post Sex Nachos… I have been listening to this song in particular nonstop. Something about small bands that aren’t over produced just really razzes my berries.
3. Candles: As always, Emerald Hearth Creations has the all time best candles, so you should buy them immediately. She is also selling out quickly…. so really, go buy them all now.
4. Art: Frida Castelli. I have been obsessed with her work for the past four years, and this will be the year that I buy her prints.

I’m traveling down the right path for me, and truly, I could not be more grateful for all the people in my life who make life worth living.

It is one of the blessings of old friends that you can afford to be stupid with them.
