As you all may know, I am living in my parents basement/one bedroom apartment space now. It has given me an amazing perspective of what I want versus what is a reality. I look at websites like FloydHome.com, Article.com, and JossandMain.com to window shop through furniture pieces that I am interested in and discover my own style. As a mammal with a pack mentality, I need my den to be exactly what I want in terms of comfort and space. In this article, I will be linking all the pieces that I dream of purchasing for my future home.

1. The Sofa

My dream sofa is comfy. I want a place where I can sleep, lounge, and snuggle up with a good hypoallergenic dog. It needs to be smaller, but also changeable.

If I can’t put my feet up and entertain a group at the same time, then I am not interested.

2. Coffee Table

I love a marble moment. It makes a statement without being a show off, and that is the mood I am looking for. Ample space for a card game or to set drinks and snacks during a movie marathon; this is what I look for in a piece.

3. Accent/Lounge Chair

I love a good chair for the person who doesn’t love being close, or as a space to put things that I am too lazy to immediately put away.

4. Media Stand

Nothing crazy. Just a cute little station where I can have my tv system and hide my card games away.

5. Rugs

Something simple to cover the floor, nothing too loud or crazy. The loud comes out in the artwork and the pillows. Rugs get stepped on and need to be cleaned, so the less crazy means the easier to deal with.

6. Decor

We need paintings, we need mirrors, we need foliage! Boom! Color, excitement, but keep it cozy! So many exclamation points, but lets be honest, it is very exciting to design a home.

Of course, this is all a very distant dream. I would need thousands of dollars which wont happen for…. well, lets not focus on that. We are manifesting big paycheck energy in 2021, so that I can create a den that I want to be at all times.
